We recently produced a TVC for Custom Plates using 3D modelling and animation spliced with live action cinema, plus a dose of motion graphics to show off their new ‘Premium Plate’ range of customised number plates. We also produced a series of 5 second animated TVCs for the energy company Lumo. Check them out here.
The Defence of Darwin Experience continues to be one of Darwin’s premier tourist attractions, with more than 150,000 visitors passing through its doors in 2017. Indeed, since it opened in 2012, the museum has become a regular fixture on the Northern Territory’s tourism circuit, a popularity that has seen the associated App downloaded from the App Store more than 50,000 times. And to ensure users will continue to get the most of their visit, The Pod has updated the App to include a variety of new and exciting content including videos, images and information alongside a more comprehensive map of historical military sites in and around Darwin. From a UX design perspective, we’ve also dramatically improved the functionality of the App due to the huge increase in the types of devices that have become available in the past 5 years. Search Defence of Darwin to find it on the App Store or Play Store now.
Revamped and reinvigorated, the $3M redevelopment of Flagstaff Hill Maritime Museum will provide visitors with a unforgettable experience of what life was like in colonial Warrnambool. Completed in June 2017, the 18-month project was produced and installed by a consortium of contractors under the creative direction of Acumen Design.
Our focus was to produce two new sound and light shows and revitalise the open air museum and period buildings using the magic of contemporary digital technologies and displays which bring to life the fascinating history of Warrnambool and the Shipwreck Coast.
In mid 2015 The Pod was approached to produce a reimagining of trench warfare during WW1. Drawing inspiration from Will Dyson's WW1 collection of sketches of his own experiences in the trenches, The Pod sought to bring to life what was a tumultuous episode in Australia's history.
Courage To Care Traveling Exhibition Contextualised by the devastating events and long lasting effects of the Holocaust, Courage to Care is an outreach program run by B’nai B’rith, the world’s oldest Jewish Service organisation. As part of its traveling exhibition, which had previously consisted solely of guest speakers and physical graphic panel displays, we created a set of interactive displays to communicate and preserve the heroic stories of numerous men and women who had the courage to stand up and make a difference in the face of overwhelming adversity. The idea is for high school students to engage the program display and discover these stories, answering a question sheet that relates to the content they explore through the interactive. The Pod are specialists in producing interactive experiences that engage and inform.See more of our interactives here.
